Farryn Weiner is Vice President of Marketing and Brand Innovation at sweetgreen, the destination for simple, seasonal, healthy food. Weiner, who has a passion for positioning brands through customized storytelling and creative thinking, oversees the development and implementation of all communication and marketing strategies at sweetgreen. In her role, she leverages everything from new retail openings, events, and social media to technology innovation and strategic partnerships to continue propelling the brand and building broad awareness among key stakeholders.
Prior to joining sweetgreen, Weiner served as the Senior Global Director of Digital, Social and Creative Communications at Michael Kors Worldwide where she oversaw integrated editorial, digital and social media strategy. Before joining Michael Kors Worldwide, Weiner lead social media, editorial content and digital marketing strategy for Jetsetter.com at Gilt Groupe. She also spent time at MTV Production & Development and National Geographic TV, in addition to serving as fashion designer Zac Posen’s assistant.
Weiner is an avid traveler, having circled the globe to understand how new media and technology is transforming the art of storytelling. She is also a contributor to Burton Girls and AHotelLife.com. She graduated with a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, and is currently developing her thesis at her alma mater on travel and new media, focusing on theories of authenticity through global communication.
